The Ontology for Governance is being developed for the Greek Ministry of Administration Reform and Electronic Governance, to provide a common basis for the representation, magement and reform of the state. The project team consists of ITMC consultants and NTUA/ICCS researchers.
The Core Ontology (classes and connections) is developed both in English and Greek, while the supportive material is only maintained in Greek.
Key objectives of the project are:
- the formation of a common conceptual model for Public Administration, able to support reform activities (process and data reengineering, organisational and legal reform)
- the achievement of interoperability among diverse information systems in Public Administration (based on commonly accepted codelists and semantic elements)
- the initial input for a distributed knowledge management system for Public Administration
